At MODA, a women-owned and family-operated business, our passion for creating memorable gifting experiences is driven by a dynamic mother-daughter duo. If you didn’t pick it up quite yet, “MODA” stands for, you guessed it, Mother-Daughter!
Deborah Wasylko
Founder and President
In 2003, after a successful 20-year career as a Process Engineer, Deborah Wasylko transitioned from engineer to entrepreneur, founding Baskets Galore. Motivated by a desire to improve corporate gifting options, she utilized her MBA and engineering background to deliver high-quality corporate gift solutions across various industries. Under her leadership, Baskets Galore has received numerous accolades, including being named Corporate Gift Company of the Year by CBC Magazine for three consecutive years. In 2010, Deborah was granted a U.S. Design Patent for her innovative 360 gift and packaging system. Beyond leading Baskets Galore, she is a sought-after speaker on topics such as sales, customer service, and entrepreneurship. Deborah also hosts the award-winning cable show Business BEAT, highlighting local nonprofits and businesses in Medina County. She resides in Brunswick, Ohio, with her husband John.
Hannah Wasylko
Operations Manager
After graduating college with a triple major, Hannah, Deborah’s marketing-savvy daughter, joined MODA as the Operations Manager in 2022. Little did Deborah know, she was indirectly modeling her business techniques to her daughter since she was a little girl. Thanks to her mother, Hannah became a natural at streamlining operations and making things happen. You'll find she and Deborah have a fantastic working relationship: Deborah's the creative visionary, and Hannah's the one who brings those ideas to life. Together, this mother-daughter team is dedicated to delivering high-quality gifts with exceptional taste and design.
